Most people do not realize how much of their power they have given away. Not all at once. But slowly, quietly, piece by piece.
One day you wake up and something feels off. Life looks fine on the outside, but inside there is a heaviness you cannot quite explain.
I woke up from an interesting sleep this morning. Sometimes that happens. I go to sleep aware of something and wake up the next day with even more clarity. The kind of clarity that fills the body with strength, vigor, confidence, and purpose. Like a fire lighting in the chest. Like the first cup of coffee in the morning, but deeper.
And what became clear to me is this.
We give our power away constantly. To technology. To governments. To banking systems. To regulations. To social media. To our relationships. Even to the idea of who we think we are supposed to be. The role we play in the world instead of who we are actually meant to be. Our dharma. The essence of our soul’s design.
Maybe that sounds too spiritual or too “woo” for some people. But honestly, it is one of the only things that connects me to something deeper than the surface noise of the world.
Because the real epidemic right now is not chaos. It is separation. Separation from ourselves.
I am not here to rant about society or complain about how things should be better. That is not the point.
I am here for the person who feels something quietly inside them. The one looking through a narrow tunnel who can see a bit of light but cannot quite explain why something about life does not feel fully aligned.
Why do things not feel expansive? Why does something feel slightly off?
The truth is simple. We give our power away all the time. Every time our attention moves away from the Self and I do not mean selfishly, I mean from the center of our being, we give away a small piece of our energy.
When that happens long enough we start waking up feeling heavy. Stagnant. Unsure. Distrusting our own choices. It is the fastest way to slowly drift away from yourself until one day you look around and barely recognize the life you are living. Or the person living it.
So what do we do about this?
First awareness. Nothing shifts without awareness. Then we begin taking our power back.
One simple practice I often suggest is something you can do every night before bed. Close your eyes and call your energy back. All the thoughts, conversations, worries, projections, expectations, time, and emotional energy you gave out during the day call it back to you. Then imagine it passing through a luminous screen three times. A field that clears and purifies your energy so what returns to you is clean, yours, and aligned.
It is simple. But powerful. Because just like we shower every day to clean the physical body we also need to clean our energetic body.
Human beings are like sponges. We absorb energy everywhere we go. Other people’s emotions. Other people’s expectations. Other people’s stories. Eventually we start carrying energy that was never ours to begin with. Energy that does not even resonate with who we are.
But that is part of the game of life. And if you want to play the game well you have to become conscious about what you allow into your field. Get clear. Stay resonant. Choose environments, people, food, water, language, and even the air you breathe with intention.
Everything carries energy. Everything influences your frequency. And your frequency shapes your life.
So if you want your life to change start by reclaiming the one thing that was never meant to be given away in the first place. Your power.
If this resonates with you I would love to hear what you have noticed in your own life. Where do you find yourself giving your power away without realizing it? Share in the comments.
